Sbyke® features a revolutionary design inspired by the BMX and skateboard families, so it should come as no surprise that the patented rear-steering scooter is making its X Games debut in Los Angeles from June 28th through July 1st. X Games 18 has the sports world buzzing, as it draws some of the world’s best athletes in skateboarding, motocross, BMX and rally car racing.
Sbyke is the only product to fit into two of the X Games’ action sports categories—skateboarding and BMX. The sbyke is a three-wheeled, rear-steering scooter that uses a large front BMX wheel to provide stability and substantially lower rolling resistance compared to existing scooters or skateboards. Because of its stability and wide maple deck, sbyke allows for comfortable side-by-side foot placement. Sbyke features the ease and maneuverability of rear-wheel steering and includes the added safety of a hand-brake when riders really get going.
Sbyke will be demonstrated on the Interactive Street Course at X Games on Thursday and Friday from 4:00pm to 4:30pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 2:30pm to 3:00pm. Plus, attendees will have an opportunity to ride the sbyke in the demo area so they can personally experience how it carves and cruises.
The X Games are covered live on ESPN’s networks and social media platforms. According to ESPN, last year X Games was viewed by 37 million people in the US and delivered to more than 232 million homes outside the U.S. in 192 countries and territories. Approximately 141,500 people attended in Los Angeles in 2011.
This year’s attendees can stop by Sbyke USA’s tent to discover more about the sbyke and have photos taken with the Sbyke Girls. The team will be handing out ice cold towels, which is sure to offer much needed relief from the scorching summer heat. Attendees will want to be sure to enter for a chance to win a free sbyke… one will be given away each of the four days.
